Learn More About Owner - Terri Gimlin

Terri Gimlin has a solid background in financial and operation management and consulting with a concentration in health care. Terri has directed the accounting and financial functions for both nonprofit and for-profit healthcare companies, and also for wholesale distribution, and service companies. Working with Senior Management and Boards of Directors she focuses on clearly defined objectives and brings innovative solutions that provide high pay-off results.

In addition to accounting management, Terri’s strong emphasis in process improvement and general administration led to the financial and operational successes in reorganizing and managing non-financial departments.

Terri’s career has spanned to include numerous senior positions at both local and well-know national healthcare companies. Her background includes experience with managed care and mental healthcare. Terri brings over 20 years of financial and operational management experience to CDO Management, having been a consultant to the Board for a health care organization and having held various senior management positions in behavioral healthcare, managed care, and other healthcare companies. In addition to directing the accounting and finance functions for a variety of businesses, she also established financial and operational controls for an IT management division resulting in $200,000 annual savings, and unlocked a $600,000 backlog of claims by reorganizing a records management system. Terri has hands-on management experience with human resources, risk management, benefits administration, contract analysis and negotiation and other areas of general administration. In addition to working with other business owners, Terri has also created and operated her own retail business where she was recognized by several local and national publications for her approach to forming strategic alliances.

Terri received a BSBA with majors in Accounting and Finance from Rockhurst University, and completed the Mini-MBA program from the University of Kansas School of Business. She also studied Improving the Budgeting and Forecasting Process with the Institute of Business Forecasters and participated in many continuing education courses in Human Resources, Strategic Planning, and Marketing.

She is a charter member of the Leawood Rotary, a Paul Harris Fellow, and served as Treasurer and as General Board Member. She is also a member of The Central Exchange and the Institute of Management Consultants and is a past member of Healthcare Financial Management Association. Terri is a co-founder of Positive Lights, a grass-roots organization dedicated to improving the life of nursing home residents, and serves as its Vice President of Administration.
